This power unit is a hybrid system, that means you can use it with or without a disposable central vacuum bag. Disposable bags are much more hygienic and a cleaner way of getting rid of all dust, dirt, and allergy laden debris. Although the Powerhouse Central Vacuum can be used without a bag, there are many health benefits when using this system with a dust bag.
